After collection from your Edinburgh accommodation, travel north towards Stirling. Rising dramatically above the city on volcanic rock, Stirling Castle controlled one of Scotland's most strategically important routes.
Explore the Royal Palace, Great Hall, castle defences and exhibitions while discovering the monarchs and conflicts that shaped Scotland.
Mary Queen of Scots was crowned here as an infant, while the wider Stirling landscape is inseparable from the stories of William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and Scotland's Wars of Independence.
Loch Lomond
Swap castle walls for fresh air on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
Continue west into Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, where the landscape opens into wooded hills and one of Scotland's most famous lochs.

The Kelpies

Standing approximately 30 metres high near Falkirk, The Kelpies were created by Scottish sculptor Andy Scott.
Their form draws on the working horses that powered Scotland's industrial past while their name connects them to the mysterious water spirits found throughout Scottish folklore.
After time for photographs and stories beneath the sculptures, relax on the return journey to Edinburgh.

Is the price per person or for the whole vehicle?
One booking reserves the private vehicle and guide for your group for the day. Prices are for your whole group, not per person. They depend on how many of you are travelling (1 to 8, 9 to 12 or 13 to 16 guests) and when, from £548 per group. See the price table on this page. You will not share your tour with other travellers.
Where does the private tour pick us up?
Your guide will normally collect you from your accommodation in Edinburgh, with final arrangements confirmed as part of your booking.
Is Stirling Castle admission included?
Stirling Castle admission is normally paid separately from the private-tour price.
Our team can assist with arranging the appropriate reservation as part of planning your day.
Is the whisky distillery experience included?
Distillery admission and whisky tasting are normally purchased separately.
Experiences vary according to availability, so the exact option for your tour date can be confirmed as part of your booking.
How much walking is involved?
The tour includes time outside around Loch Lomond. One of the advantages of travelling privately is that your guide can adapt the pace and walking where possible to suit your group.
Can we change the itinerary?
Private tours allow greater flexibility over pacing, walking, photography stops and the amount of time spent at individual locations.
Significant route changes should be requested in advance. Additional time, distance or supplier arrangements can sometimes affect the price.
What should we wear?
Scotland's weather can change quickly, so comfortable walking shoes, waterproof outerwear and layers are recommended.
Do we need to bring lunch?
No. There will normally be an opportunity to purchase food during the day and your guide can recommend suitable options.
You are also welcome to bring snacks and bottled drinks.
What are the cancellation terms?
For private tours, 25% of the total price is payable if cancelling 61 or more days before departure; 50% from 60–31 days; and 100% at 30 days or less before departure.
Certain third-party arrangements may carry additional non-refundable costs.
