You will not share the vehicle with other travellers.
How long is the private St Andrews tour?
The current itinerary is approximately eight hours, typically around 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Where does the tour pick us up?
Your guide will collect you from the agreed Edinburgh pick-up location confirmed for your private booking.
Do we walk along the Fife coast?
Yes. The itinerary includes a short coastal walk around Elie, normally taking in the Lady's Tower area and sea views.
Exact walking arrangements can be adapted where practical to weather and your group.
How much time do we get in St Andrews?
St Andrews is the main experience of the day and is given meaningful time for sightseeing, lunch and exploration.
Your guide can help you decide how best to use that time depending on whether you're most interested in golf, history, the university or the coast.
Is the tour only worthwhile for golfers?
No.
Golf is only one part of St Andrews. The town also contains medieval cathedral and castle ruins, university heritage, beaches, historic streets, cafés, shops and coastal scenery.
Is St Andrews Castle included?
Castle admission is normally separate from the tour price unless your booking confirmation specifically says otherwise.

Can we visit St Andrews Cathedral?
Yes, the cathedral ruins form an important part of exploring historic St Andrews.
Access to individual areas and any special experiences is subject to the site's current operating arrangements.
Do we visit Dunfermline Abbey?
Yes. Dunfermline is normally the final major stop before returning to Edinburgh.
The abbey is closely connected with Scotland's medieval monarchy and Robert the Bruce. Access to individual parts of the complex can vary because it remains both a historic site and working church.
Can the private itinerary be adjusted?
Private touring provides greater flexibility than a scheduled departure, particularly around pacing, photography stops and the amount of time devoted to particular interests.
Significant changes should be discussed with the team before your tour so we can confirm what is practical.
What should we wear?
Comfortable walking shoes and layers are recommended. A light waterproof is sensible even when the morning forecast looks good.
The Fife coast can feel noticeably cooler and windier than central Edinburgh.
Where do we have lunch?
St Andrews has a wide choice of cafés, pubs and restaurants and is normally the natural place for lunch.

Can we bring luggage?
Small day bags are normally straightforward. Contact us in advance if you need to travel with suitcases or larger luggage so that vehicle capacity can be confirmed.
What are the private-tour cancellation terms?
For private tours, 25% of the total price is payable if cancelling 61 or more days before departure; 50% from 60–31 days; and 100% at 30 days or less before departure.
Certain third-party arrangements may carry additional non-refundable costs.
