Who made it
Written by the people who'd be showing you round
We're Scotland's Wild, a small Scottish tour company. For more than ten years we've taken visitors from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness into the Highlands and islands, in groups of 16 or fewer.
Every tip in the planner comes from what our guides see on the road: the trips that work, the ones that try to squeeze in too much, and what people wish they'd known before they landed.
“Book your tour with Scotland's Wild well in advance… their 3-day Isle of Skye tour is one of the most popular, so it fills up fast. Our guide, Derek, was phenomenal… There were only seven people on our tour.”
Questions
Before you download
Is it really free?
Yes. Pop your email in and you can download it straight away. We'll send you a copy by email as well.
What emails will I get?
The planner comes first. Over the next three weeks we'll send six short emails on the things people ask us most: how many days you need, the Isle of Skye, group or private, and how booking works. After that you'll get our Saturday email with trip ideas and tour news. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Is it only for American visitors?
No. Prices are in pounds and dollars, and there's extra help for travellers from the US and Canada (the ETA, flights and driving on the left), but most of it is for anyone planning a first trip to Scotland.
Will it work on my phone?
Yes, it was made to read on a phone, with big text and tappable links. The two worksheets at the back print fine on US Letter or A4.
Do I have to book a tour with you?
Not at all. The sample trips use our tours as building blocks because that's what we know best, but the planning advice works whichever way you travel.
I've already got a rough plan. Can you look at it?
Happily. Email your dates, where you're flying into and what you'd love to see to create@scotlandswild.com and someone on our team will reply.
