A 50% deposit is taken when you book; the balance is collected automatically 8 days before departure. If you book within 8 days of departure, full payment may be required. How much walking is involved?
You’ll leave the vehicle regularly to explore the chapel, castle grounds and harbour on foot. Comfortable footwear and reasonable mobility are recommended. Contact us before booking to discuss specific accessibility needs.
What should I wear and bring?
Light waterproof clothing, sturdy comfortable shoes and layers for colder weather. Sun cream is useful on bright days. A small rucksack or handbag is fine; contact us before booking if you need to bring a suitcase or larger luggage.
Are meals included?
No. Alnwick Castle is the planned lunch stop, with time to buy food at its cafés. We recommend a packed lunch if you have strict gluten-free or complex dietary requirements.
Are there bathroom breaks?
Yes. Facilities are available at several stops, especially at the main attractions. Your guide will let you know when the next one is coming.
What happens if the weather is bad or an attraction is closed?
Your guide may adjust the route, timings or individual stops if weather, traffic, road conditions or attraction closures affect the planned itinerary.
