Glasgow → Oban

Meet your guide in Glasgow and begin your five-day journey towards Loch Lomond, stopping in the picturesque village of Luss for views across the loch and time to explore the shoreline.
Continue into Argyll to Inveraray on the banks of Loch Fyne. Enjoy time in the town and lunch before travelling deeper into Scotland’s ancient past.
At Kilmartin Glen, discover one of Scotland’s richest prehistoric landscapes. Standing stones, burial cairns and stone circles reveal thousands of years of human history in this remarkable valley.
Your first day ends on Scotland’s west coast in Oban, the harbour town known as the Gateway to the Isles. Settle into your accommodation for your first night.

2
Oban → Isle of Skye
Kilchurn Castle · Loch Awe · Glencoe · Skye Bridge
Leave Oban and begin the day at Kilchurn Castle, a dramatic ruined stronghold beside Loch Awe framed by mountains and Highland scenery.
Continue into Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most famous landscapes. Towering mountains surround the glen while your guide introduces its landscapes and the history of the 1692 Glencoe Massacre.
After time in Glencoe and a lunch stop, continue north through the western Highlands towards the Isle of Skye.
Cross the Skye Bridge and travel to Portree, where you’ll settle into your accommodation for the first of two nights on the island.

3
Explore the Isle of Skye
Dunvegan · Old Man of Storr · Kilt Rock · Duntulm · Fairy Glen
Day 3 is dedicated to exploring the Isle of Skye. Begin at Dunvegan Castle, ancestral home of Clan MacLeod and one of the island’s most significant historic sites.
Continue around Skye to the Old Man of Storr before travelling along the Trotternish Peninsula to Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls.
Further north, see the atmospheric ruins of Duntulm Castle overlooking the Minch before exploring the unusual hills and pathways of the Fairy Glen.
Return to Portree for your second evening and final night on the Isle of Skye.

4
Isle of Skye → Inverness
Eilean Donan · Loch Ness · Urquhart Castle · Inverness
Leave Skye across the Skye Bridge and return to the mainland for a visit to Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most recognisable Highland landmarks.
Continue east towards Loch Ness, where you’ll have the opportunity to experience the famous loch from the water on a cruise.
The journey also takes you to historic Urquhart Castle, whose ruins overlook Loch Ness and tell centuries of Highland conflict and history.
Continue to Inverness, the Highland capital, where you spend the final night of your tour.

5
Inverness → Edinburgh
Culloden · Cairngorms · Aviemore · Highland Whisky
Begin your final day at Culloden Battlefield, site of the decisive battle of 1746 that brought the Jacobite Rising to its tragic conclusion.
Continue south into the Cairngorms National Park and stop in Aviemore for lunch, surrounded by a very different Highland landscape of mountains and forests.
Later, experience a Highland whisky tasting and discover more about Scotland’s world-famous spirit before beginning the final journey to Edinburgh.
The tour finishes in Edinburgh at The Jolly Botanist at approximately 7–8pm. Please remember that this Glasgow-departure tour does not return to Glasgow.

4 Nights Across Oban, Skye & Inverness
You’ll spend 1 night in Oban, 2 nights on the Isle of Skye and 1 night in Inverness, staying overnight along the route throughout your five-day journey.
Prices are a guide only and vary by season, demand, availability, special events and how close to departure you book.
If we arrange your accommodation, we aim to place solo travellers in a single room. If availability is limited, a twin room shared with another traveller of the same gender may occasionally be offered. Contact us in advance if you do not want sharing to be considered.
When we arrange your accommodation, breakfast is normally included. If it isn’t available — for example with a last-minute booking — we’ll tell you and recommend nearby alternatives.

Is accommodation included in the tour price?
No. Accommodation is not included in the advertised tour price.
The four overnight stays are: 1 night in Oban, 2 nights on the Isle of Skye and 1 night in Inverness.
You can ask us to arrange accommodation through our trusted partners or book your own.
Where will I stay during the tour?
Your overnight bases are Oban, the Isle of Skye and Inverness.
Exact accommodation properties can vary according to availability and departure date.
If you book independently, please contact us first. Your accommodation should normally be within approximately 3km of our chosen group location so that collection and drop-off remain practical.

You arrive on Skye on Day 2, spend Day 3 exploring the island and leave for the mainland on Day 4.
This gives you two nights on Skye and a full touring day dedicated to island highlights such as Dunvegan, the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, Duntulm and the Fairy Glen.

How do I secure my place on the tour?
A 25% deposit is required when booking this multi-day group tour.
The remaining balance is due 15 days before your tour starts and is automatically collected using the payment method attached to your booking.

- 16 or more days before departure: 90% refund of the total tour cost.
- 15 days or less before departure: 100% of the tour cost is payable.
- No-show: 100% of the tour cost is payable.
Cancellation must be made in writing by the person who made the booking. Accommodation and other third-party arrangements may have their own terms.

No. This tour starts in Glasgow but finishes in Edinburgh on Day 5.

How much walking is involved?
This is an Active Sightseeing tour. Short walks and time outside the vehicle are built into the journey.
Guests should be comfortable walking for up to around one hour on uneven ground.
Paths can be rough, wet, muddy or slippery. Contact us before booking if mobility is a concern.
What should I wear and bring?
Scotland’s weather can change quickly. We recommend bringing:
- Waterproof clothing
- Comfortable, sturdy walking shoes or boots
- Warm layers
- Hat and gloves in colder weather
- Midge repellent, particularly from April to September
- Sun cream for brighter days
Dressing in layers is usually the easiest way to adapt throughout the journey.
Are meals included?
No. Meals and snacks are not included in the tour price.
There will be opportunities to buy food during the tour and your guide can recommend places to eat. Some evening meals may need to be booked in advance, particularly during busy periods on Skye.
You are also welcome to bring snacks for the journey.
How much luggage can I bring?
Each traveller can bring one suitcase or bag up to 15Kg (33lbs), with dimensions of approx:

Yes. We make regular comfort stops throughout the five-day journey at locations across the Highlands and the Isle of Skye.
Your guide will let you know when facilities are available and when the next planned comfort stop will be.
What happens if bad weather affects the itinerary?
The tour normally operates in Scotland’s changeable weather, so rain itself does not mean the tour will be cancelled.
Safety comes first. Weather, road closures, attraction closures or other circumstances outside our control can require your guide to alter the route, timings or individual stops.
The itinerary should therefore be treated as a guide rather than a guarantee that every stop will operate exactly as listed.
