Our Inverness tours don't all leave at the same time. Use the check-in and departure times on your tour page and booking confirmation, and the pick-up details we send before your tour.
The day tours are back at approximately 4:35pm (Loch Ness, Culloden & Outlander), 7:00pm (Isle of Skye) or 7:30pm (Glenfinnan & Cairngorms). The 3-Day Orkney and 3-Day Lewis & Harris tours return at approximately 5–6pm on Day 3. Ferries, weather, traffic and road conditions can affect return times.
Departure Morning Checklist
We send the exact pick-up point and time before your tour starts. Look out for it in your inbox, including your spam folder.
Our Inverness tours have different check-in and departure times. Use your booking confirmation.
Allow extra time if you are travelling into Inverness that morning.
Vehicle luggage space is limited, especially on the 3-day tours. Bring only what you need for the trip.
Bring comfortable footwear, warm layers and waterproof clothing suitable for your itinerary.
Check the telephone number on your booking is correct and keep your phone switched on before departure.
If you have luggage you are not taking on tour, arrange storage before your tour wherever possible. Storage opening hours may not suit every early departure, so don't leave this until the last minute.

Pick-up is in central Inverness.

How early should I be ready?
Please be ready at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure.
Your guide needs time to check everyone in before the vehicle leaves Inverness.
Do all the Inverness tours leave at the same time?
No. Check-in and departure times are:
Isle of Skye day tour: 7:45am for 8:00am
Loch Ness, Culloden & Outlander day tour: 8:45am for 9:00am
Glenfinnan Viaduct & Cairngorms day tour: 8:30am for 8:45am
3-Day Lewis & Harris: 8:00am for 8:15am
3-Day Orkney: 8:15am for 8:30am

What should I do if I am going to be late?
Call us as soon as you realise that you may not reach the pick-up point in time.
Tours need to leave Inverness at their scheduled departure time. We cannot guarantee that the vehicle can wait, that you can join elsewhere or that another departure will be available.

Contact us immediately if the vehicle has already departed.
We will check whether any practical alternative exists, but joining the tour later or transferring to another departure cannot be guaranteed.
Missed departures and no-shows are subject to the cancellation terms applying to your booking.

Every scheduled Inverness tour finishes in central Inverness.
The day tours are back at approximately 4:35pm (Loch Ness, Culloden & Outlander), 7:00pm (Isle of Skye) or 7:30pm (Glenfinnan & Cairngorms). The 3-day tours return at approximately 5–6pm on Day 3.
These are approximate times and can be affected by ferries, weather, traffic and road conditions.
Should I book a train, flight or other connection straight after the tour?
We recommend allowing plenty of time between the expected return and any fixed onward journey.
Long days on the road and island ferry crossings mean return times can vary, so avoid tightly timed onward travel.
Can I store extra luggage at the pick-up point?
No. Scotland's Wild doesn't provide luggage storage at the pick-up point.
Arrange storage for excess luggage before your tour, and check the facility's opening hours, as they may not suit an early departure.
