Which day trip from Glasgow is best for you?

For walking in Glencoe

The Glencoe & Highlands tour spends the most time on foot, with two walks of up to about an hour, from the Three Sisters to the Glencoe Lochan.

For Glencoe and the west coast

Oban, Glencoe & Highlands crosses Rannoch Moor to Glencoe, stops at the Castle Stalker viewpoint and gives you time in Oban’s harbour town before Kilchurn Castle and Loch Awe.

For ancient history and clan castles

Standing Stones, Castles & Highlands visits Inveraray Castle, the standing stones and cairns of Kilmartin Glen, and Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe.

For a shorter day

Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond & Whisky is about 7 hours, leaving at 9:00am and back by around 4:10pm.

Walking and pace

These are active sightseeing days. Glencoe, Oban and the Standing Stones tour include walks on outdoor ground of up to about an hour at a time. Bring sturdy shoes and a waterproof layer.

All four scheduled day tours from Glasgow are for ages 12 and over. For younger children, ask us about a private day tour.

Which Glasgow day tours visit Loch Lomond?
All four. Three stop at Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond, and the Stirling tour stops at Balmaha, with an optional walk up Craigie Fort for views over the loch.
Are castle tickets, whisky experiences and meals included?
Your guide and tour transport are included; meals and drinks are separate. Stirling Castle admission, the Glengoyne whisky experience and Inveraray Castle admission cost extra on the relevant routes. Castle Stalker is a mainland viewpoint stop, and Kilchurn Castle is currently an exterior visit.
How much walking should I expect?
All four routes include active sightseeing. Glencoe, Standing Stones and Oban include walking on outdoor terrain, and you should be comfortable walking for up to about an hour at a time. Check your tour’s walking information and ask us about any accessibility needs before booking.
Can children join these Glasgow day tours?
