Scotland Tour Guide
Drive through some of Scotland's most remarkable landscapes, bring its stories to life and help guests experience much more than the view from a vehicle window.

Applicants need a current full UK driving licence with category D1 or D, held for at least three years. You must be able to start tours in Edinburgh or Glasgow, be comfortable spending nights away and have sufficient fitness for walks on varied terrain.

Travel Coordinator
Help turn a traveller's idea of Scotland into a real journey. You will support guests, organise tours, manage bookings and help keep the many moving parts of our adventures running smoothly.
- Enjoy helping people plan memorable travel experiences
- Have strong customer service and communication skills
- Are organised and pay close attention to detail
- Can take initiative while still working closely with a small team
- Have a genuine interest in Scotland and want to keep learning
Customer service, administration, Outlook and Microsoft Office experience are important for the role. Experience with booking platforms such as Checkfront, Viator or GetYourGuide, or previous travel-industry experience, is useful but not essential.

Training and development are part of the job, whether you are developing your guiding, building destination knowledge or learning another part of the business.

We are a relatively small team. Good ideas do not need to pass through layers of departments before anyone listens to them.
Work with good people
Guides, coordinators, travel experts, content and marketing all contribute to the same guest journey, with staff socials and events bringing the team together away from work too.

Depending on the position and operational requirements, flexible working patterns can be discussed.

A brilliant tour does not begin when the vehicle leaves Edinburgh or Glasgow. It begins much earlier.
Enquiries need answered. Routes need planned. Accommodation and activities need organised. Vehicles need prepared. Guests need looked after. Then someone has to bring the landscapes, history and stories of Scotland to life when the adventure begins.
That is why our guides and office team are not separate worlds. Everyone contributes to what the visitor eventually experiences.

Are these the only jobs currently available?
Yes. We are currently advertising two roles: Scotland Tour Guide and Travel Coordinator. The positions shown on this page are the current vacancies.
Do I need previous experience as a Scotland tour guide?
Previous tour-guiding experience is desirable, but it is not listed as essential. Strong communication, safe driving, customer care, enthusiasm for Scotland and a willingness to learn are particularly important.
What driving licence do Tour Guide applicants need?
Tour Guide applicants must currently hold a full UK driving licence with category D1 or D and must have held their driving licence for at least three years.
Where can Tour Guides be based?
Tour Guide positions are available with tour starts from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Applicants should be able to work from the relevant departure base and be comfortable operating both day and overnight multi-day tours.
Can the Tour Guide position be part-time?
Yes. Full-time and part-time positions are available, and flexible working patterns can be discussed. Tour Guide work can include both single-day and overnight multi-day tours.
Where is the Travel Coordinator role based?
The Travel Coordinator vacancy is based in the Dumbarton area and is currently advertised as a full-time, permanent role.
Do you provide training and development?
Yes. Ongoing training is included in the published benefits for both roles. The Tour Guide position also includes First Aid training.
