The Kelpies

Rising approximately 30 metres above the landscape near Falkirk, The Kelpies were created by Scottish sculptor Andy Scott.
Their design honours the powerful working horses that helped build industrial Scotland, while their name reaches much further back into Scottish folklore and the mysterious water spirits known as kelpies.

Is the price per person or for the whole vehicle?
One booking reserves the private vehicle and guide for your group for the day. Prices are for your whole group, not per person. They depend on how many of you are travelling (1 to 8, 9 to 12 or 13 to 16 guests) and when, from £548 per group. See the price table on this page. You will not share your tour with other travellers.
Where does the private tour pick us up?
Your guide will normally collect you from your accommodation in Glasgow, with final arrangements confirmed as part of your booking.
What time does the tour start and finish?
The current planned tour time is approximately 9:00am to 4:10pm.
Actual return time can vary with traffic, attraction timings and operating conditions.
Does this private Glasgow tour visit The Kelpies?
Yes. The current private-tour itinerary includes The Kelpies as part of the day's sightseeing.
This differs from the scheduled Stirling Castle group tour from Glasgow, which follows a different itinerary.
Is Stirling Castle admission included?
Stirling Castle admission is normally paid separately from the private-tour price.

How much walking is involved?
The tour includes time outdoors around Loch Lomond and at several sightseeing stops.
One of the advantages of travelling privately is that your guide can adapt the pace and walking where possible to suit your group.
Can we change the itinerary?
Private tours allow greater flexibility over pacing, walking, photography stops and how time is used at individual locations.
Significant route changes should be requested in advance. Additional time, distance or supplier arrangements can sometimes affect the price.
What should we wear?
Scotland's weather can change quickly, so comfortable walking shoes, waterproof outerwear and layers are recommended.
Do we need to bring lunch?
No. There will normally be an opportunity to purchase food during the day and your guide can recommend suitable options.
You are also welcome to bring snacks and bottled drinks.
What are the cancellation terms?
For private tours, 25% of the total price is payable if cancelling 61 or more days before departure; 50% from 60–31 days; and 100% at 30 days or less before departure.
Certain third-party arrangements may carry additional non-refundable costs.
