WHY SCOTLAND'S WILD

A Different Kind of Scotland Tour

Our tours are built around smaller groups, more time outside and guides who give Scotland's landscapes, history and stories their meaning.

01 · SMALL GROUPS

More Personal by Design

Scheduled groups are capped at 16 travellers, making stops easier, the atmosphere more relaxed and your guide more accessible throughout the day.

02 · ACTIVE SIGHTSEEING

Get Out Into Scotland

Short walks, viewpoints and scenic stops are deliberately built into our itineraries so Scotland is something you experience, not simply photograph through a window.

03 · EXPERT GUIDES

The Story Behind the Scenery

History, folklore, local knowledge and the occasional bit of Scottish banter turn a beautiful place into one you understand and remember.

04 · CLEAR INFORMATION

Know What You're Booking

Tour pages explain inclusions, separate costs, walking requirements, meeting points and practical details so you can choose the right trip before you commit.

Scotland Tour FAQs

The useful basics to know before choosing a scheduled Scotland's Wild tour.

Where do Scotland's Wild scheduled tours depart from?

Our scheduled group tours depart from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. Exact meeting points and check-in times vary by tour, so use the information on the individual tour page and your booking confirmation.

How small are your small-group tours?

Scheduled group tours operate with a maximum of 16 travellers. The smaller group helps make stops more efficient, creates a more personal atmosphere and gives you more opportunity to interact with your guide.

What does Active Sightseeing mean?

Active Sightseeing means our itineraries include opportunities to get out of the vehicle for short walks, viewpoints, historic sites and time in the landscape. It does not mean every tour is a hiking trip; walking requirements are explained on each tour page.

What ages can join scheduled group tours?

Group tours welcome travellers aged 12 and over. Puffin and Alnwick day tours also welcome children aged 7–11. No under-7s can join any group tour. Youth fares cover ages 12–17 on other group tours and ages 7–17 on Puffin and Alnwick. Private tours are available for families with younger children.

Can I check which tours are available during my trip?

Yes. Enter the dates you will be in Scotland and your preferred departure city in the tour finder above. It checks live availability and shows tours whose full itinerary fits inside your selected travel window.

Do multi-day tours require full payment when I book?

Current multi-day tour pages show the deposit and balance terms that apply to that itinerary. Many can be secured with a 25% deposit, with the remaining balance collected before departure. Check the individual tour page for the exact payment terms before booking.
